Freshwater Point Homestead

Located in the lush Tamar Valley,
it is on the edge of the Tamar Valley wine region
and close to many National Trust owned properties.
A perfect base base from which to explore the taste sensations of the region:
- award-winning cool climate wines,
- Longford beef
- great fish and shell fish
- summer berries,
- jams and preserves,
- specialty Tasmanian honey
- some of the world’s finest ales.
Escape to this beautiful and heritage corner of Australia.
Stay in the main homestead
or
in one of three self contained cottages in the grounds
The 1820s homestead is one of Australia's oldest waterfront houses.
There is history and charm, peace and quiet, warm hospitality and the best of local produce.
Enjoy :
- generous breakfasts with homemade bread and local jams,
- gourmet platters, served on the verandah or in the garden,
- dinners (available with advance notice only),
- local wine from the cellar.
